Naughty Dog has announced a release date for Uncharted 3. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will be released on November 1, 2011, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.

As we reported on Thursday, when the game was first announced, Uncharted 3 look phenomenal and the trailer shown the VGAs only works to heighten our sense of anticipation for the third installment in the series. It looks like we're going to have a new toy to play with in Drake's Deception: sand.

With Naughty Dog's grasp of gameplay mechanics, story telling and physics, I can only imagine how insane Uncharted 3 is going to be in the desert.

We'll post more details as we get them, but until then, mark your calendars and start a countdown clock, because Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will hit stores on November 1, 2011.
