Steelers cut K Jeff Reed

It appears that Jeff Reed’s seventh missed field goal of the season– a 24-yard chip shot Monday night in Pittsburgh vs. the Patriots – will be his last for the Steelers.

Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports that Pittsburgh has told Reed he has been cut. The Steelers will sign Shaun Suisham to replace Reed.

Will gives a good refresher course on Reed’s season here. You know, how he complained about the lack of a new contract and then had the worst year of his career in response.

Now, Suisham, a five-year veteran, get his chance. He hasn’t played this year, and throughout his career, he’s shuffled between gigs with the Cowboys and the Redskins. For his career, he’s been successful on 79.1 percent of his chances (Reed’s career percentage, by the way, is 81.9 percent).

But the worst part of Reed’s week? He was featured near the bottom of Will’s NFL Approval Matrix this week. Just how many insults is one man supposed to take, anyway?

It appears the Bengals are going to scoop him up and miss field goals for their team now. Good riddance to him, he is a fucktard.

Wow.. Figured they cut him at the end of the year cause of his shitty kicking... I guess when you shank a chip shot, you're pretty much suck ass.. Why would Cincy pick him up.. Nugent is a good kicker. And who is this Suisham? The only kicker I know to bounce between the Cowboys and Skins was Nick "Folk-ing sucks".

Nugent is out for the year.
