I was thinking after we had the site established for about a year we could try to contact some celebrities and ask them a random, stupid question. I'm not talking about A listers like Harrison Ford or De Niro but minor celebrities who have a large online presence in the form of a blog, popular facebook page, or even gay twittering. We could email said celebrity with something like,

"Hello Wil Wheaton, my name is Doug/Ed/Ted etc. and I represent a small website devoted to everything the stereotypical guy likes called www.manvolve.com. The site topics range from movies to sports t women, to Star Trek. We are big fans of yours and would like to see if you would be interested in participating in one of our features. Its called "Manvolve's Celebrity question of the week" and if you agreed to do it we would send you a random question and ask that you answer it and maybe expand on it. We would then post it on our website with a plug of your blog (we currently get over 6 hits a day, so it could be advantages for both parties). We appreciate your time and hope to hear from you soon.

If he says yes we could ask him something stupid like "When you were growing up did you picture yourself looking like Richard Dreyfus when you got older?"

I thought about calling it the manvovle one question interview but a google search will show that plenty of those exist. The name is a work in progress. I think that there are plenty of celebrities who would do this, especially those who have fallen off the radar and who are starved for attention....I also think we could do this if we got a small following on a podcast. Who doesn't think booger from revenge of the nerds would call in if contacted, but that is a topic for another time.
