Items that I found interesting:
- Overhauled notifications (no more annoying popup notifications that interrupt everything you are doing.) link
- Twitter integration throughout the OS (Post a photo you just took to twitter for instance) link
- Access the camera straight from the lock screen and use the volume up button to take a picture. link
- Wireless syncing of your iTunes library (you also don't need a pc or mac to activate your phone)
- iMessage (kind of like blackberry messenger, but online for iOS 5 devices) link
- Pretty much everything on the phone synced to iCloud (photos, music, email, etc synced to the internet so you have access to it from all your devices.)
- Over-the-air updates link
Supported devices:
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4
- iPad 1 and 2
- iPod touch 3rd and 4th generation
